Florian is an experienced engineering leader with a strong background in software development and open-source contributions. He has worked across a range of technical roles, contributing to everything from early-stage startups to large-scale cloud platforms. Throughout his career, he’s focused on building scalable systems and leading high-performing teams with a strong emphasis on engineering culture and continuous improvement.

He’s also an active open-source contributor, with work spanning tools and ecosystems like the Linux kernel, PHP, Node.js, and npm. Whether experimenting with languages like Go or Common Lisp or building developer-focused tools, Florian enjoys staying close to the code and sharing knowledge with the broader community.

Currently, Florian serves as Field CTO at Platform.sh, where he helps connect technical strategy with customer success, bridging the gap between engineering and real-world platform adoption.
